DAY 32

I didn't have to attend school today because the things to be submitted were with Kevin..
so the only thing left for P1 is to submit these blog entries on Monday!
hooray~!

DAY 31 ( presentation)

Today we had a long class at LT 25.
it was really good because i saw a lot of nice videos and they were pretty awesome.
of cos, the last was the best and im quite sure everyone thought so too. haha.

the different ideas portrayed was really cool..
i learnt new stuff today and its about the different effects.. i think my group could have done more of that.. but its okay cos its over..
it truly has been a learning experience for me..
still remember the very first day when we got into our groups and thought that things would not work out.
but now, time flies so fast we've finished already!
i learnt a lot and i think that i'll do better in the future! :D

YAY!

DAY 30

The entire video is almost done, just left with some transferring here and there..
then it'll be done! heh.
tomorrow is going to be submission! awesome!
it has been a experience. heh.

Today Jarrold showed us his animation-credits for the video.
haha it is very nice!
attractive and interesting.
he must be gloating now. heh.
we added the animations and sounds into the video.
i watched through the entire video and i must say its really weird seeing myself hosting.
haha..
cant wait for tomorrow! :)

DAY 29

In school today Alvin did further editing..
then, he left rather early..
Kevin did some shooting together with Jarrold and i at the canteen, LT and design entrance..
we did it with the help of Mallory and Rachael from another class pretending to be eating and chatting... etc..
it was overall a FUN day.. :D

Jarrold also showed us his end-product of animation that would be used for our designer's TV. :D
it was really nice and attractive..
i also gave the sounds such as chalkboard writing, glass breaking to them as Jarrold requested for them..

DAY 28

We showed Alfie our video and stuff..
i was quite shy and embarrassed when he was watching the video..
oh no.. what's gonna happen when it's being showed to the class!
haha..

aiyo.
anyway, Alfie shared with us about how the gradings would be like.. etc..
He also complimented that the camera angles were very good..:)

DAY 27

Alvin was not around today so Kevin did the voice overs with me.

i was really sleepy and tired when i reached school but when i sat myself at the table together with Kevin i told myself that i cannot be 'emo' or be a bad example to my group mates..
and so i went really high and sang, made noise and merriment.
it was good because it brought joy to both kevin and jarrold.. haha..

throughout this process, i laughed a lot and was glad that i made the choice to be happy.
i thank God for strength..
i had to repeat the whole script for about 4 times because the end-product from the camera was very muffled.
but it was a memorable experience..:)

DAY 26

Today Alvin did not turn up because he was sick..
so i was helping a little to do the editing parts.. felt that there were parts that can be improved.:)

i had to do some more voice overs because there were many parts where we need to add in voice overs instead of having silence in the video.
because there was some problems with the computer, and we couldn't continue editing.

Hence, i took this chance to write out a whole lists of script for the voice over the next day and sent it to Kevin for so that he can know what to expect the next day..

DAY 22 -25

it was a break for me and so i didnt attend school..
but i was at home searching for sounds and different sound effects that can be used for our video..:)

DAY 21 (post-production period)

We went to school for only a short while because we couldn't find a computer that we could work on..

we had quite a few difficulties because the computer we wanted to use didnt have a DVD burner..
Then, because Alvin would be doing the editing from today onwards Kevin told me not to go to school until voice overs..
if not, i'd be wasting my time in school..

hence, for the next few days i can take a a little break.. :D

DAY 20

day 20 we had more shooting and hunting (for people) to do..
we went around the canteen searching for lecturers and our fellow students for interview.
Thank God we managed to interview the most important person in design school-Moses
together with a group of other lecturers that were with him.
Alvin managed to capture the best angles over at the corner behind the canteen.
it was very good because they answered my questions very well and we achieved our goal..:)

Then, at the canteen we also got to interview Majorie and Sholleh at the drink stall..
we decided to interview them whilst they are buying their drink because it would then portray my theme more- reality TV. :)

It was quite tiring today because we went about searching for people..
but thank God that we managed to ask a lot of different lecturers about our school and course.
the lecturers were very willing and open to answer as well..
:)
the video will surely turn out well!

After that we went back to the room and i did voice overs..:)
had to repeat myself and made myself clear..

DAY 19
(FULL- SCALE SHOOTING)

We started off today by shooting a lot more and it was very fruitful..
first up was the interview with Alfie and Justin..
it was good because Alfie really acted very real.. heh.

Then they started shooting me as a host..
i had to memorize a lot of sentences and thus i had a lot of NGs..
i hosted at different locations so it was quite tiring because i repeated myself a lot of times and i was rather shy..
i felt really guilty because i took quite some time to finish up the whole thing due to the many NGs taken..
However, im still very proud of myself for being able to overcome this fear and challenge.. :)
way to go!

DAY 18

Today we met at the room and played a film..
Alvin, Jarrold and i pretended to be watching the show and kevin did the shooting..
after this we went to shoot other repeated stuff such as 2D and 3D art..

Kevin wanted to be the host for the video but alvin didnt want to..
so they've decided to use me as the host..
im kinda nervous and yet am anticipating to do a good job..
Hence, Tomorrow is going to be a hectic day because we will be interviewing Alfie, Justin and they will be shooting me hosting in the video.

wheee. :D

DAY 17

We shot our 2D paintings and 3D sculptures and i was very glad that i was able to contribute because my group mates says that i have a talent for panning the camera.
Reason being male's hands shake and they are not able to pan well.. heh.

so i was all along with alvin helping him to pen the studio room and level 2 where art pieces displayed..

However, some parts of it were lost because kevin accidentally rewrote the tape..
but is alright because we can always shoot again..

DAY 16 (first day of BLOCK 2)

There were some hiccups today because kevin forgot to charge the batteries and hence we were limited to only shoot at places where we could charge and shoot at the same time..

We were only able to shoot very little scenes.
it wasnt a very fruitful day..

DAY 15

today marks the last day of block 1 for MOI project 1.
going on to block 2!
heehee

anyway i was really agitated this morning..
last night i told Alvin that we don't have to meet so early to do the presentation at 10am.
but he began listing out the various items that needed to be done.
so i was agreeable on going at such an early hour..

however, having asked everyone to go so early he was very late.
so i had my lunch first..
i was really frustrated that he was the latest but yet he told all of us to reach early.
but i did my best to corporate and compromise as we had a presentation to be done..

we each presented one slide and Alfie gave us opinions on how to improve our schedule timings and assuring that we were on the right track.. :)

DAY 14

Today Jarrold and i had morning class and then waited for Alvin and Kevin to turn up..
Alvin turned up, but Kevin didn't because he had to finish his other assignment..
it was quite annoying because we waited for quite a while..
but it was okay..because we ate..
after Kevin told us he wasn't coming Alvin gave us some instructions to do for the video..

i did the presentation preparation on powerpoint..
showing what and how we've been doing..

DAY 13

Being the last week of the module, our group is kinda well prepared and organized about what we should do for the video.
We somehow had an overview idea of our shots and frames..
it was a rather boring for me because we didnt discuss alot..

DAY 12

It was quite a short meeting we had because Kevin simply showed us the script he did..
we gave our opinions and thought that it was quite good..
as we progressed we would be able to improve it im sure.
hence, we discussed only for a while about various factors such as who would be the host(s), how else to improve the settings, theme and making it more interesting..

im excited to see how the different shot scenes are going to appear..:)

DAY 11

i went to school today and there was only Kevin.
i think there was miscommunication on weather to meet or not because Jarrold and Alvin didnt turn up.
Hence i left for the next class.

Day 10

We had our shooting again today.
though it was rather short, i had an experience of filming the seniors from year 2 and 3s in the 2D animation room.

i carried the camera and it was rather heavy but really fun to play with.
we had to choose the nicest angles we can find to record and thus we took quite some time at the 2D room.

We have made more arrangements with other seniors to shoot them doing their Fyp and i think that it will make our film more interesting.

tomorrow is a long day. :D

Day 9

I was late for class today and thus my group had a shoot near the canteen first.
it was really short.
felt quite terrible for being late, i shall not be late again.
however, we also made some progress today and discussed a little more on what will be done the next 2 days.

we will continue shooting.
its going to be fun. :D

Day 8

We had group discussion today and i feel it was good. :)
we made some progress by planning out when and what to shoot etc.
We had a MOI year 2 senior who agreed to help us with our shoot and he has friends whom we can certainly approach as well.

Our planning are soon going to be finalized.
its going to be so much fun!

Day 7

Today Alfie spoke quite a lot in class..
he told us about how we should take the year 2s & 3s now that they are doing their projects.
this will help save time as well as the fact that it will look realistic.

He told us many examples on what the other students did that i believe has helped many groups thought through.
We also got reminded that we have to include our portfolios in the video.
Alvin was not feeling well and so we were short of one member and therefore, it wasn't very easy to discuss.

hopefully we can discuss more tomorrow and make more amendments to the video. :)

DAY 6

We made some progress today by sharing more of the rough ideas we each have..
it was a short discussion we had..
we each took a role in this project and i was made the assistant producer.
yupp.:)
its going to be more fun!

Day 5
today, each group presented our ideas and my group also showed our power point slides.
It was a rather short and sweet lesson..
Alfie gave us some points on how we should keep some time free for our last minutes editing.

Day 4
In class today we had ample time to discuss our ideas for the video.
Alvin, Kevin and Jarrold had many different ideas.
Some agreed but some disagreed.

after much discussion, we decided to meet on sunday to do our presentation.

Day 3
Today was a rather easy and relaxed class.
i ended my morning class only at 12.10pm and was rather annoyed because i wanted to have my lunch.
but the queue in design canteen was long as usual. so i grabbed a sandwich at jupiter which cost me $3. ahh.

we gathered at LT25, Alfie, Ronald and Wahidah showed us some examples of short videos.
i liked the one on monsters inc, its so cute!
I've never watched it before so Rachael and jarrold said i should watch.
so i would like to watch it sooooon!

got a little idea through this exercise and i think my group would like to change our concept so we are either discussing it tonight on msn or tomorrow in class.

Day 2
Thank God that we started off well today.
After clearing the misunderstandings we had, the 4 of us got down to sharing our ideas for the videos.
each contributed and though there were parts where we didnt agree, we still compromised.
i thought it was really good because this is how a group should work.
In the end, we combined the ideas we had.
i wont disclose the idea today, perhaps tomorrow!
im really glad i could contribute and get along quite well with my teammates. :)
Oh and i was the scribe today! i was doodling on alvin's notebook too but doing my job! haha.

Alfie taught us something new today that got me thinking.
our concepts and ideas may go in the wrong direction because we focused on the wrong things.
he taught us that we should focus on our selling point so that when people see the video they would want to join MOI.
and i've been working my brains to think of how to emphasis my selling point.
i'll let you know soon!

Day1
i was a little excited about the final project because it would be something where i can reflect on what i did throughout my time in year1 MOI.
After the briefing, we got into our respective classes and there we broke up into groups of 4 0r 5 for this project.
I got into the same team as Jarrold, Alvin and Kevin.
Being the only girl, it felt a little weird but i will try to get used to it.

Anyway, during this first class we had a little misunderstanding that caused each teammates to feel uneasy and annoyed at the same time.
We had a rocky start, but i believe that we can do this together!
Look at the positive sides of each teammate and surely things will work out fine. :)

looking forward to do our project together.
